Lessno Receives First Round of Financing from NEVEQ
July 10, 2007 / NEVEQ |
The first investment of NEVEQ in Q1 2007 is the travel services portal www.lessno.com. Lessno offers a unique model for online sales of air tickets and other travel services. The customer value proposition is convenience and most competitive price, using a proprietary algorithm to access more than 30 traditional and 75 low-budget airlines.
The engine has been developed by a group of industry specialists based in the United States and Bulgaria. The base is a platform which has been functioning since 2006 and is directly connected to the booking databases of the airlines. Within seconds, the system is able to select the best travel offers for a given destination.
The investment of NEVEQ will support further platform upgrades, expansion of the database with new airlines and greater variety of choices for LessNo’s customers. Other low-cost services such as rent-a-car and hotel bookings will be expanded through Q2 2008. As of July 2007, Lessno.com does several thousands of transactions per month and shows consistent ability to return better fares than many established competitors.
